We’ll pick you up from your Rotorua Central accommodation between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM, then head through scenic forestry, farmland, and volcanic landscapes toward the region’s geothermal heartland. 🚐🌲

💧♨️ Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland

First up is Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland — one of New Zealand’s most colourful and unique geothermal landscapes.

Your guide will take you to some of the park’s must-see highlights, including:

🫧 New Zealand’s largest boiling mud pool
🥂 The famous Champagne Pool
🌋 The Lady Knox Geyser eruption at 10:15 AM

Next, we head to the spectacular Waimangu Volcanic Valley — the world’s youngest geothermal system, created following the 1886 eruption of Mt Tarawera. 🌋

Explore a landscape where native bush, volcanic history and active geothermal features come together while your guide explains how this extraordinary valley was formed.

As this is a half-day guided tour, we don’t walk every track or visit every feature within Wai-O-Tapu or Waimangu Volcanic Valley.

Instead, we focus on the must-see spots, giving you more time to enjoy the highlights while your guide shares the stories, science and local knowledge that bring each destination to life. 🌋💬
