Yes, absolutely. On our full-day itineraries that include a visit to Te Puia, you will have the incredible opportunity to view our iconic native Kiwi birds up close inside their state-of-the-art conservation sanctuary and nocturnal house.
Because Kiwi are nocturnal and highly sensitive to bright lights, they are a bit camera-shy! To protect their eyesight and keep them safe, no photography or filming is allowed inside the nocturnal house. It is a truly magical, quiet experience that you’ll remember long after the tour ends.
-
We take a relaxing 30-minute lunch break at 12:00 PM right at the top of the spectacular Waimangu Volcanic Valley, just before we head back toward Rotorua to continue our day’s adventures.
