- Lady Knox Geyser
- Waimangu Volcanic Valley
- Boiling Mud Pools
- Rainbow Mountain and it's craters
The tour departs daily 8:00-8:30am and
returns 12:30-1:00pm. Pick up from accommodation
then drive through forestry and farmland
to NZ's largest boiling mud pool
and a series of colourful hot springs
at Wai-o-tapu. Then see the Lady Knox geyser erupt.
Next a short drive to the Waimangu Volcanic valley
where your guide will explain the Mt Tarawera
eruption which blew open this spectacular,
bush covered, geothermal park,
winner of NZ Eco Tourism Award 2001. |

This is an afternoon cultural and historical tour of Rotorua. See volcanoes, lakes, waterfalls, and native forest when we visit these sites;
- Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) and Lake Rotokakahi
(Green Lake)
- The Buried Village
- Lake Tarawera
These amazingly clear and colourful lakes
are a favourite stop for visitors. Learn about
their history and enjoy the scenery. The Buried
Village is the site of a former Maori
village, destroyed during the Tarawera
volcanic eruption. There is beautiful
native bush with a walk to a waterfall
and Lake Tarawera lookout. Tour returns at approximately
4:00pm. . |

and include GST.
- Cancellations up to 24 hours prior to tour
will incur a 25% cancellation charge. No refund
will be available if cancellation occurs within
24 hours of the tour.
- Pick-up times can be arranged. Pick-up is
free from all central city accommodation. Other
pick-up locations may incur a charge.
